Claudio Napoli cinematography career started out in London receiving, during his studies, the “Cinematographer of the year Award” sponsored by Kodak, thanks to his work on the short film Rule2, which was subsequently selected for the New Cinematographers Night, British Society of Cinematographers.
His filmmaking experience has been gained on many different projects, in a wide range of countries, and embraces every conceivable format. Notable work as cinematographer include: The groundbreaking VR short Chromatica which premiered at the VR section of the 2017 Venice Film Festival, the fashion film Twenty Four Hour Berlin Fashion Film Festival Selection, the short Dirt Best Thriller ADIFF Dublin, the successful documentary Four Horsemen Best International Feature Documentary Audience Award Galway Film Fleadh.
His background studies and interests lay in photography, cinematic imagery and storytelling, architecture, arts and music. His extensive travels provided him with ample opportunities to combine his varied interests with his distinct vision, and allowed him to merge his experience with composition, lighting, colours and the art of cinematography.
Recent notable projects include VFX Unit Dop for “Spiderman: Far From Home”, and VFX and additional photography for the upcoming HULU series “The Great”
Claudio is a regular visiting tutor at the International Film and Television School in Cuba.
